On higher grounds, past the Santa Maria Golf & Country club, is the well-known La Mairena residential area situated; a beautiful, by Unesco declared biosphere environment, and one of the nicest views of the Mediterranean Sea. from here you can admire both the Sierra Nevada and Africa. Hiking is recommended in these pristine natural surroundings.
Beaches
Along the road between Fuengirola and Marbella there are sunny sandy beaches and Elviria is no exception. There are serveral watersports possibilities on the beach and excellent dining options available (Chirinquitos )

Near Elviria the Santa Maria Golf & Country Club is located. This 18-hole golf course has an excellent international reputation.
Markets
Spain loves markets for the sale of fresh products, but also street markets. Usually these markets take place in the morning until the Spanish lunch time. Every first Saterday os the month, the association "Guadalhorce Ecologico" organizes a market in Elviria offering ecologically grown products from Marbella and the surrounding area.
